The Liberal Democrats are concerned about the safety of Chart Lane and its’ junction with Waterlow Road and Belmont Road where there have been three serious collisions in 2025 due to excessive speed, inadequate signage and poor sight lines. This section of road has become increasingly busy with the growth of local schools. It requires traffic calming measures, such as table top humps and improved sight lines, to improve safety for all road users.

Cllr Mark Johnston and Candidate Mike Robinson, local Reigate residents, are leading a campaign to seek a Safety Review of this junction by Surrey County Council’s Highways’ Department.
