This extraordinary year is passing rapidly and our 2020 AGM is due and is planned for November 16th at 7.45pm – 9.00pm
In line with current restrictions we need to hold it on line and will follow up shortly with the link to join the session but please note we will also supply a phone number so you are more than welcome to join the meeting from an ordinary phone.
As well as some reporting back on the year there are two critical areas to cover at the AGM:
- To confirm the amended constitution (see attached). The constitution is based on the model form for local parties, but if you have any issues please do let us know before the meeting
- To nominate and agree the key roles on the Executive Committee. These roles are laid out in the attached document and cater for a very wide range of skills and engagement. For most of these you do not need experience or specific skills – just enthusiasm and common sense. Do have a look and consider getting involved. If you would like to discuss the please contact me (details below) or feel free to complete the nomination form and send it through to my email. (We are happy to accept the from without signatures, or without proposers and seconders if you cannot find anyone to do that)
We are also delighted to welcome Paul Kennedy who is our Police and Crime commissioner candidate for Surrey for the May 2021 election. Paul will join us at 9.00 pm to tell us about this very important role and to answer your questions.
Like our Conference this year, this online AGM is a first for us, but we think it can work well and provide an interesting meeting for all. Please do try and make it if you can. We will forward the contact details in due course.
Many thanks and kind regards
